Due to the state budget recently passed, grants for higher education funding has reached its highest point.
The highest possible grant awarded by the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) has gone up to $6,000.
The total available funding for the program is now nearly $420 million after the budget added an additional $5.9 million.
