Butler County is continuing to work on plans that could lead to selling a piece of property at Sunnyview.
Representatives from the county presented plans to the Butler Township Planning Commission to have the nearly one-and-a-half-acre former district magistrate building and aging buildings subdivided from an over four-acre piece of property.
Township officials expressed concern about a lack of parking for the new parcel that contained the buildings as well as a lack of sewage service available for the property left without structures. This feedback could result in the county seeking an easement to continue using parking on the property even after it is sold.
The Planning Commission voted to table this subdivision proposal which means that it will likely be back on the agenda for the meeting next month.
