An administrator in the Seneca Valley School District is receiving recognition for her leadership in the education field.
Dr. Marie Palano is the Seneca Valley Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Assessment and she recently received the 2025 Emerging Woman in Education Award.
The award from the Tri-State Study Council is in honor of a longtime professor at the University of Pittsburgh. It recognizes a woman who is in the early stage of a leadership career.
Palano was recognized at a dinner earlier this month. She began her Seneca Valley career as a Spanish and French teacher at Ryan Gloyer Middle School before becoming an assistant principal then principal at the former Evans City Middle School.
