Experience Butler County officials say there will be a number of marquee sporting events coming to the area over the next couple of years.
The former tourism bureau says the United States Hockey League Fall Classic will be returning in September to the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry. Officials estimate that last year’s tournament had an economic impact of over $1 million.
The county also secured the 2026 Junior Disc Golf World Championships in 2026–which will happen at Slippery Rock University and Moraine State Park.
The bureau is expecting this year’s U.S. Open and next year’s NFL draft to also have a significant impact on the Butler County tourism industry.
