A Slippery Rock University student is being honored with a statewide award.
19-year-old Abby Becker of North Warren is the recipient of the Syed Ali-Zaidi Award for Academic Excellence, which is given to a senior in PASSHE for exceptional academic achievement.
Becker is a math major who set to graduate this spring.
She will be recognized at the PASSHE Board of Governors meeting in Harrisburg today.
Becker is the second Slippery Rock student to win the award.
