
The National Weather Service will be in Butler today after a tornado was confirmed in Center Township yesterday.
A tornado warning was issued just after 4:30 p.m. for Butler and Armstrong.
It wasn’t long after that warning, that high winds started in Center Township. Video evidence shows a tornado ripping the roof off a salt shed near the Unionville Volunteer Fire Department on Mahood Road.
The National Weather Service used the video and radar detection to confirm the tornado.
Investigators will be out in Center Township today assessing damage.
Around 65 Butler County residents are without power this morning. Drivers should be aware of downed trees and wires.
