The Butler Area Transit Authority plans to post signage restricting how long people can leave vehicles in their parking lots.
The authority recently approved a resolution to revise their parking policy to no longer allow overnight parking unless a motorist has received specific approval from authority administrators.
Cameras already in place are able to verify when vehicles enter the commuter service lot or the adjacent lot for the Hollywood Drive facility.
If a vehicle remains in either lot overnight without permission after the signs have been installed, the authority plans to call the police and have the vehicle towed at the owner’s expense.
