A former caretaker is facing charges after she and her fiancé tried to break into the home of a man who died.
Butler City Police were called to the 500 block of West Brady Street last Friday after two women were fighting in the yard.
Police say a man died at that home and his former caretaker, 26-year-old Janautica Revis of Lyndora, was coming to take items out of the house. Her fiancé 35-year-old Karl Warren Jr. of Butler is also accused breaking down the door to enter the home.
There was one woman inside the home at the time of the attempted break-in, and she told police Revis and Warren have taken numerous items from the home previously.
Warren Jr. and Revis have been charged with burglary and criminal conspiracy, along with Warren facing additional charges of simple assault.
They both are currently out on nonmonetary bail as they both await preliminary hearings.
