Two men have been charged with stealing two checks totaling over $100,000 from a Butler County business.
On February 13, the owner of Monte Cellos Restaurant reported two checks had been fraudulently deposited into two JP Morgan bank accounts.
After investigating, police connected the accounts to 24-year-old Davine Bruce of California and 25-year-old Krishawn Jones of Georgia. It’s alleged Bruce chased a check of $94,251 and Jones in the amount of $6,636.
They are both facing several charges including access device fraud and dealing in proceeds of unlawful actives.
They are both awaiting a preliminary hearing.
