A Lyndora man accused of escaping police custody while in the hospital has been arrested and charged again.
On Tuesday, police were called to the Arby’s in Butler City for a report of two people unconscious in a booth.
When police arrived on scene a woman and man were identified, the woman gave her name and information to police. The man is alleged to have lied about his name.
It’s then alleged the man took a phone call and after finishing the call tried to run from police but was cornered. The man then attempted to fight officers on scene before he was tased and taken into custody in Arby’s.
Police would identify the man as 45-year-old Michael Demko who had escaped police custody on June 6.
Demko was found to also have drugs in his possession. He was charged with evading arrest, resisting arrest, and drug possession for this incident.
