Pennsylvania has received failing grades by a national organization for not doing enough to end tobacco use and improve air quality.
The American Lung Association recently gave the state an F grade in Tobacco Prevention and Control Funding, an F in Tobacco Taxes, and a D in Smokefree Air Policies.
The Association points out that smoking increases the risk of the most severe impacts of COVID-19 so ending tobacco use is more important now than ever.
The 19th annual State of Tobacco Control report also gave Pennsylvania a failing grade in the newly created category of Ending the Sale of All Flavored Tobacco Products which is directly connected to the youth e-cigarette epidemic.
