Emergency crews were busy yesterday responding to a number of tree and wires that fell down due to the windy conditions.
The wind gusts reached as high as 40 miles per hour yesterday—which caused a number of problems.
One of the biggest issues was a power line that fell onto Route 8 North by Mercer Road around 2 p.m. Route 8 was shut down for about two hours.
There were a number of other calls for trees down, and some fires as well.
Power outages were limited.
