Flags have been ordered to be posted at half-staff by Governor Josh Shapiro after a State Trooper was killed in Schuylkill County.
While Pennsylvania State Trooper Michael Pahira was inspecting a commercial vehicle along I-80 in Cass Township he was hit by another commercial vehicle.
The two vehicles would also collide and catch on fire. One driver was taken to a hospital.
Pahira died from the injuries he suffered.
Commonwealth and United States flags on Commonwealth facilities, public buildings, and grounds will fly at half-staff.
They will remain lowered until the date of interment which has not been announced.
All are invited to take part in this tribute.
