It’s another hot day in store and the National Weather Service is issuing a heat advisory for Butler County.
The advisory runs from noon until 8 p.m.
A high of 95 is expected today, but factor in humidity and the heat index will feel above 100.
With the advisory, officials say to drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned rooms, and try to stay out of the sun.
Central Electric Cooperative is also issuing a Beat the Peak alert. Customers are urged to conserve power by raising the thermostat a few degrees and limiting use of non-essential items that are powered by electric.
