Crews battled a number of brush fires yesterday in the county.
The first call for a brush fire happened around 2:45 p.m. on Powder Mill Road in Renfrew. A brush fire was spotted behind Rutledge Lane, and required a number of crews to help control the burn. It was brought under control around 5:30 p.m.
There was also a brush fire in Armstrong County on Butternut Road in Bradys Bend Township.
The area did receive rain last night, which should help conditions. However, fire officials urge caution if you are planning on burning.
