A Butler City man accused of placing a dead body in a trash can waived his preliminary hearing and had his bail lowered.
Yesterday morning, 64-year-old Cavell Watkins waived his preliminary hearing and had his bond lowered to $25,000.
Watkins is accused of placing his roommate, who died from a drug overdose in late June, into a trash can and left him there for several days.
Watkins was charged with Felony Delivery of Narcotics as well as Misdemeanor Abuse of a Corpse and placed in the Butler County Prison.
The case now moves to the Court of Common Pleas.
