Multiple fire departments have been dispatched to the scene of a house on fire on Rockdale Road.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center shortly before 3 p.m. for a single-story residence on fire in the 100 block of Rockdale Road.
Crews from Saxonburg, Penn Township, Middlesex, and Herman all responded to find heavy fire at the residence. The departments did need to shut down that portion of Rockdale Road while on the scene.
At least one person was entrapped in the house and needed help to exit the structure but it is not believed that anyone was injured.
The cause of the fire and amount of damage is unknown at this time. Crews did request help from the Red Cross for a family of five.
