Jay-Z has reportedly selected himself to perform the 2027 Super Bowl halftime show at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on February 14, according to Puck. The Brooklyn rapper controls halftime talent selection after his company Roc Nation struck a deal with the NFL in 2019, extended in 2024 for five more years. Sources say Jay-Z was considered a stronger choice over Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber, both previously in talks. Earlier frontrunners also included Harry Styles. The 56-year-old hip-hop mogul has never performed at the Super Bowl. His 2026 live shows proved his commercial pull — two Yankee Stadium concerts generated $42 million. Jay-Z has not publicly addressed the report. Story URL
Apple Corps Ltd. has announced plans to transform The Beatles Story attraction in Liverpool. The experience will relocate from Albert Dock to a new site opposite Liverpool Lime Street station in 2028. The 100,000-square-foot venue will more than quadruple its current size and feature sets and props from Sam Mendes’ upcoming four-film Beatles biopics, starring Paul Mescal, Harris Dickinson, Joseph Quinn, and Barry Keoghan. Visitors can explore iconic locations including The Cavern, Abbey Road, and Shea Stadium. St. John’s Beacon will host a Yellow Submarine-themed 360-degree viewing experience. Paul McCartney called the plans “very exciting,” while Ringo Starr said, “Liverpool was, and still is, music city.” Every ticket sold will fund emerging local artists through the Liverpool Trust. Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant has revealed that the 1977 death of his five-year-old son Karac permanently altered his relationship with the band. Karac died from an acute gastrointestinal infection while Plant was on tour. In a new Sunday Times interview, Plant said, “I didn’t need the group after losing my boy. When things go left of centre, who wants to sit backstage for hours and hours with people you’ve been stuck with since 1968?” Plant first expressed similar feelings to Rolling Stone in 2007, saying, “I didn’t want to be in Led Zeppelin. I wanted to be with my family.” Today, Plant lives quietly in Worcestershire, England, joking that locals barely recognize him. “Tuesday night is bingo night,” he said. “You might win 25 quid.” Story URL
