Secretary of the Commonwealth Al Schmidt has announced the May 19 primary has officially been certified.
State law requires that all 67 counties certify their results and two audits with different approaches confirm all results have been reported accurately.
The audit looked at 15 counties and hand counted 4,435 ballots to ensure the reported outcome of the Republican race for lieutenant governor was accurate.
Certification papers were signed on Wednesday.
