A local agency plans to rent a Butler Township facility to continue offering programming for seniors.
At their Monday night meeting, Butler Township Commissioners approved a lease to allow the Butler County Area Agency on Aging to use the Butler Township Park Building.
Beginning in November and continuing through May the agency will pay $1,200 per month to offer exercise and meal programming for seniors three days a week from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Currently about 30 to 40 people utilize this programming at Tanglewood.
It is anticipated that the new Butler County Senior Center at the former Butler Health and Fitness on North Duffy Road will be ready to host this programming in June.
