Pennsylvania unemployment numbers have continued to hold steady over the past month.
According to the Department of Labor and Industry, the state unemployment rate stayed at 4.2 percent in May, which was the same as April and the three months before.
The PA rate was one-tenth of a percentage point below the U.S. unemployment rate, which was also unchanged from the previous month at 4.3 percent.
The state unemployment rate is the same as May 2025 while the U.S. rate is also identical to last May.
